This slider might just kill the iPhone.
Sure, the new N96 does not have a fancy touch-screen, but it comes with 16GB of built-in storage for all the media files you need to store. Thre's also a memory expansion slot - something the iPhone lacks - so you can stick in an 8GB microSD card (the biggest capacity available for now) to bump up its memory to a whopping 24GB.
Definitely important for a smartphone that doubles up as a video and music player. And it also play live TV programmes on its 2.8-inch screen, courtesy of its DVB-H mobile TV receiver.
Other techie trappings; A 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, GPS, 3.5G and quad-band GSM connectivity and Wi-Fi
No wonder the Finnish mobole giant is calling it a "multimedia computer" and the commercial ad below shows that this is the gadget for the folk who want a phone that truly does it all.
